Dear participant,
Below you will find information about the questionnaire which we are inviting you to complete. Before you decide whether to complete the questionnaire, please read this information carefully and contact the study investigators if you have any questions.
What is the purpose of the study?
The questionnaire is part of a project (BeWEL)investigating opinions about the environment and nature, and how they relate to well-being.
What are the possible risks in taking part?
There are no individual risks in taking part in this study. The results will inform our understanding of attitudes to the environment and nature. We will not ask you to provide any information that identifies you as an individual, so you can be assured that the data is completely anonymous.
What if I decide I don't want to take part anymore?
You can withdraw from this study at any point. We have provided an 'Exit and clear survey' button at the bottom of the page, so if you decide that you would like to withdraw from the study, press this button, and all of your responses will be cleared.
Who do I contact if there is a problem?
If you have any questions or comments regarding this questionnaire, please email: t.craig@macaulay.ac.uk
If you have any concerns about the wider BeWEL project, please email Professor Colin Hunter (c.j.hunter@abdn.ac.uk), who is the principal investigator of the BeWEL project.
Who is organising and funding the research?
The questionnaire is part of a larger project called BeWEL: Behaviour for Well-being, Environment and Life, funded by the UK Research Councils. The purpose of the project as a whole is to understand the influences on attitudes and behaviour in relation to the environment and nature. A further aim is to look at links between these behaviours and well-being. The grant holder is Professor Colin Hunter at the University of Aberdeen.
We would like to thank you very much for considering completing this questionnaire.
